Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and customer/patient-focused individual to join our Patient Services team within our Multi-specialty office. In this role, you will support patients over the phone in their scheduling needs via inbound calls. We strive for first-call resolution for appointment scheduling, canceling, rescheduling, patient registration, and documentation in accordance with patient privacy and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner. The successful candidate will take an average of 50-70 calls per day in a typical 8-hour day.
- This role is not patient facing, it will be all back-end duties.
- Schedule appointments and update patient records.
- Assist with patient inquiries and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
- Identify patients’ needs, clarify information, research every issue, and provide solutions and/or alternatives.
- Document all call information according to standard operating procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in a call center environment.
- Prior healthcare experience preferred.
- Prior EMR experience. EPIC experience preferred.
- Previous healthcare experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Terminology Training
Details:
- Pay: $18 - $21/hr. based on related experience
- Pay cycle – weekly | medical, dental & vision benefits offered
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week)
- Onsite position – Wilton, CT
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
