What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sourcing Specialist position at TEKsystems?
*Description*
A client of ours is seeking to hire a Sourcing contractor for roughly six months to assist with excess workload. There is a lot of work, and the opportunity can extend beyond the 6 months, potentially joining as an FTE. This is a remote consulting opportunity supporting a normal 8am-5pm CST starting in late March or early April. The candidate must be well versed in contract negotiations, renegotiating contracts in which the relationship/service delivery is challenged, in addition to handling RFPs. All the work in scope for this effort is technology vendors only- *MUST HAVE* previous experience within technology vendors.
The client's procurement organization is broken down into 3 areas including Operations, Vendor Management and Sourcing. This candidate must absolutely be strongest in sourcing; however, they may cross over to vendor management functions as needs so they must have experience there too. There are several projects lined up and their team is over capacity with deadlines to meet.
We are seeking a candidate to help navigate very difficult questions and complex contracts in which delivery of the contracts have gone poorly and the quality has fallen to the weigh side. We are seeking candidates who have helped in negotiated contracts with poor performance, mapping back SLA's to ensure they are reviewed and re-balanced in addition to having experience with critical vendor turn arounds. This is one of the key components of the role and given their deadlines, require someone seasoned who can come in and hit the ground running. In addition, this candidate must have creativity in their solution efforts and posses the ability to think outside the box.
