*Job Summary:* The Installation Technician will be responsible for operating various tools designed for cabling and lugging, including hydraulic crimping tools, cable cutters, and heat guns. The role involves the installation and removal of fiber optic and copper cables, performing fiber cable pre-termination and termination, and managing fiber raceways. The ideal candidate will have experience with 12, 24, and 48 VDC systems and possess a working understanding of alarms, float, equalize, internal resistance, connection resistance, microhms, MHOS, rectifiers, and PDUs. Additionally, the candidate should be knowledgeable about EPA and HAZMAT regulations related to battery recycling and OSHA regulations.
*Key Responsibilities: (we train our technicians to do this)*
* Operate tools designed for cabling and lugging, such as hydraulic crimping tools, cable cutters, and heat guns.
* Install and remove fiber optic and copper cables.
* Perform fiber cable pre-termination and termination.
* Manage fiber raceways.
* Conduct lead verification and community testing.
* Act as the installation supplier's in-charge person on common system jobs.
* Understand and work with alarms, float, equalize, internal resistance, connection resistance, microhms, MHOS, rectifiers, and PDUs.
* Follow EPA and HAZMAT regulations and guidelines for battery recycling.
* Operate test equipment using Alber and Midtronics.
* Adhere to OSHA regulations and guidelines.
*Qualifications:*
* Experience with 12, 24, and 48 VDC systems is a plus.
* Data Center rack and stack experience is highly relevant
* Proficiency in operating cabling and lugging tools.
* Strong understanding of fiber optic and copper cable installation and removal.
* Knowledge of fiber cable pre-termination and termination processes.
* Familiarity with fiber raceways and lead verification/community testing.
* Ability to act as the in-charge person on installation jobs.
* Understanding of EPA and HAZMAT regulations and guidelines.
* Experience with test equipment such as Alber and Midtronics.
* Knowledge of OSHA regulations and guidelines.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
