Job Description
The Telecommunications Engineer will be responsible for performing routine grounds inspections and preventative maintenance on cell sites, fiber transport cabinets and building locations, and vehicles.
You will work closely with the NOCC and other departments to operate and maintain the fiber and wireless networks and improve network accessibility and survivability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine grounds inspections and preventative maintenance
- Identify and evaluate all hazards
- Utilize test gear and approved procedures
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of applicable telecommunications technologies
- Possess a good working knowledge of applicable test equipment
- Demonstrate, explain, and clearly communicate troubleshooting techniques
- Exhibit the ability to work independently
- Create and assign work orders and supervise contractors
- Install Ethernet, VoIP, GPON, OC-n, and related services
- Work closely with the NOCC and other departments
