We are seeking an expert Network Field Operations Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine grounds inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair of cell site network hardware, including base stations, microwaves, tower lighting systems, battery backup systems, antenna systems, and Ethernet and T1 facilities. Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications technologies, test equipment, and software applications is required.
The ideal candidate will possess a good working knowledge of applicable telecommunications technologies, TCP/IP strategies, and test equipment such as digital multi-meters, antenna and line sweep gear, and spectrum analyzers. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with specialized software applications specific to the job responsibilities, including Nokia or Ericsson CDMA/EVDO/LTE technology.
In this position, you will work closely with the NOCC and other departments to operate and maintain the fiber and wireless networks, ensuring optimal performance and accessibility. You will also be responsible for scheduling all maintenance and service impacting work with the NOCC, as well as resolving degradations in voice or data performance to meet dropped calls, blocked calls, data throughput, and availability benchmarks.
