What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title Examiner position at TEKsystems?
*Description*
- Conduct courthouse searches at Register of Deeds and Treasurer offices to obtain property records and legal documents
- Customer service - answer phone calls, address inquiries related to file progression, title products, etc
- Provide strong communication with clients and stakeholders
- Prepare mailings, and new orders received
- Perform scanning and digital recordkeeping tasks to maintain organized and secure files
- Verify and examine titles, ensure accuracy and compliance
- Ensure all legal descriptions, marital status, notary accuracy match
- Ensure titles are free from restrictions or encumbrances that may hinder sales or usage
- Finalize final title insurance policies for both commercial and residential real estate transactions
*Additional Skills & Qualifications*
- experience within courthouse documents, treasury, banking, Register of Deeds is preferred
- individual with strong attention to detail
- must be self-motivated and work independently
- will have little public face to face interaction - must be comfortable at a desk all day
*Pay and Benefits*
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
