Candidates need to have:
- 6 years of professional experience in COBOL development in Linux environments.
- Strong experience with relational databases (Oracle preferred).
- Proficiency with Unix or Linux shell environments.
- Understanding of SOAP/RESTful APIs and data interchange formats such as XML and JSON.
- Working knowledge of C programming.
- Ability to analyze, identify, and resolve complex business and technical problems.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or DevOps practices.
- Exposure to legacy modernization projects or large-scale enterprise systems.
- Design, develop, test, and implement COBOL-based applications and system enhancements in a Linux/Unix environment.
- Participate in the analysis and design of new features and system architecture improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement standard and custom IT solutions aligned with business needs.
- Perform database interactions using relational databases, preferably Oracle.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues across applications and environments.

- Maintain and update existing code written in C programming language when needed.
