Avionics Technician

Job title - Avionics Technician II – F-18 Specialist
location - China Lake, CA

Key Requirements:

• Must have F-18 experience (5 years organizational-level avionics/electrical).
• Active/Inactive Secret Clearance required.
• Contract-to-Perm or 3–6-month contract (covering leaves).
• Pay: $48.63/hr (non-negotiable).

Role:

• Perform scheduled/unscheduled O-Level maintenance on F-18 avionics/electrical systems.
• Lead teams, assign tasks, and ensure compliance with Navy/USMC protocols.
• Provide technical guidance to junior technicians.
• Handle flight-line services, safety drills, and FOD walkdowns.
• Lift up to 167 lbs (team ordnance loading).

Qualifications:

• Experience in Avionics.
• 5 years on F/A-18s (recent experience preferred). Navy Class C School for F-18 Avionics/Electrical (or equivalent experience). Work Center Supervisor/CDI qualified (Plane Captain/QAR experience a plus). High school diploma valid driver’s license.
