Material Planner/Scheduler
Location: Athens, GA (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
About the Role:
We are seeking a Material Planner/Scheduler to manage inventory, coordinate supplier deliveries, and support production planning for a global leader in HVAC and refrigeration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, order, and track materials to meet production schedules
- Monitor supplier performance and on-time deliveries
- Use MRP systems (JDE-Oracle experience preferred) to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Identify and resolve material shortages
- Minimize excess and obsolete inventory
- Support process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Business, Manufacturing, or Engineering plus 8 years of relevant experience
- OR Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience
- Experience in materials planning, purchasing, or scheduling
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (JDE-Oracle a plus)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- CPIM or CPM certification is beneficial
