Sheet Metal Foreman

Position Overview:

The Sheet Metal Foreman leads a crew in the installation and maintenance of sheet metal systems, including gutters and coping caps. The Foreman ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards, while fostering a positive team culture and solving day-to-day leadership challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead a crew in completing all tasks, including tear-offs, installations, and clean-up.

· Assist in various job-related tasks, including tool handling and site maintenance.

· Ensure site cleanliness and safety by controlling debris and securing materials.

· Participate in on-the-job and mandatory company training.

· Maintain a positive attitude and work ethic in a fast-paced environment.

· Monitor equipment utilization and maintenance.

· Mentor crew members on construction skills and safety protocols.

· Read and interpret blueprints, prepare materials lists, and document job site conditions.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and applicable laws.

· Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Minimum 5 years of architectural sheet metal experience required.

· Experience with standing seam metal roofing, metal wall panels, and single-ply membrane systems.

· Supervisory or management experience preferred.

· Ability to read blueprints and manage materials.

· Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.

· Valid driver’s license strongly preferred.

Physical & Working Conditions:

· Work performed outdoors, often in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).

· Ability to use hand and power tools, lift up to 50 lbs, and climb ladders over 40 feet.

· Will operate scissor/boom lifts and work at elevated heights, including steep roofs.

· Must be able to kneel or stand for extended periods and work in dusty or dirty environments.

Position Requirements:

· Adherence to all safety guidelines and policies.

· Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and evenings as needed.

· Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated with excellent multi-tasking and follow-up skills.

· Must pass a pre-employment physical, agility test, and drug screening.

· Background checks may be required for certain projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.73 - $28.36 per hour
