About the job
The Conveyor Belt Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of belt systems. They will perform regular inspections, identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and replace worn or damaged components. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Qualifications
· Mechanical Skills: Ability to understand and work with mechanical components, including belts, rollers, motors, and pulleys.
· Troubleshooting: Proficiency in identifying and resolving mechanical issues and malfunctions in conveyor belt systems.
· Maintenance and Repair: Experience in performing maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, belt adjustments, and component replacements.
· Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to adhere to safety regulations while working with conveyor belt systems.
· Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
· Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to spot potential issues and ensure proper functioning of conveyor belt systems.
· Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report any issues or concerns.
· Experience in Industrial Settings: Previous experience working in industrial environments or with conveyor belt systems is desirable.
· High School Diploma or Equivalent: Minimum educational requirement, with relevant certifications or vocational training being a plus.
NOTE: Vulcanizing Experience is MUST
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
