Safety Manager – Heavy Civil Construction
Location: Portland, OR

Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives in heavy civil construction projects, including highways, bridges, tunnels, dams, and large-scale infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and fostering a strong safety culture across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Leadership: Develop and implement safety strategies aligned with business goals.
- Program Management: Design industry-leading safety programs compliant with OSHA, MSHA, and other regulations.
- Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments, audits, and lead incident investigations with corrective actions.
- Training & Development: Deliver engaging safety training and mentor team members.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project teams and leadership to integrate safety into all operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field.
- 4 years of safety management experience in heavy civil construction.
- Expertise in OSHA, MSHA, and safety compliance regulations.
- Proven success in reducing incidents and building safety-focused teams.
- Proficient in safety management tools (HCSS, Microsoft Office).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to travel to project sites as needed.
