Software Engineer Senior (GCP Data Engineer)
Location : Dearborn, Mi- Hybrid role
Job Description :
PDO - The Data Software Engineer position will involve design, implementation, testing and launch of new applications for loading dealer data and generating analytical insights.
The position requires a strong foundation in Big Data with knowledge of Python and SQL query language.
The primary focus involves the migration of data landing and transformation jobs from Teradata to Airflow (Astronomer) and BigQuery.
The software engineer will work closely with IT team members and Business Owners to understand various business processes and apply this knowledge to design and implement solutions.
Skills Required : Python
3 years experience with ETL solutions
3 years experience of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
3 years experience Oracle / Teradata
Ability to lead and mentor associate engineers
Strong foundation in Big Data
Ability to clearly communicate with peers, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts
Experience Preferred :
Experience with Airflow (Astronomer)
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with BigQuery
Education Required :
B.S. Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the requested field
