Job Description
Position Summary
- We are seeking a Managed Services Technical Writer to provide ongoing documentation services for the client's Legal Technology team.
- This role will serve as a dedicated documentation resource, managing and maintaining all process documentation, user guides, and technical content for the legal department's technology systems and workflows.
- The position will establish a managed documentation service that ensures consistent, high-quality documentation support for legal technology initiatives.
- Dedicated technical writing support for legal technology initiatives
- Create documentation for new tools, processes or tech
- Ongoing maintenance of existing legal technology documentation by request
- Proactive regular review and updates of existing documentation
- Documentation project management and planning
- Monthly service reporting and metrics
- Regular stakeholder meetings and engagement over email and messages. The tech
- writer must be available during these times in order to engage with US stakeholders: Monday-Friday between 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM Eastern Time.
Documentation Services
- Provide managed documentation services for legal technology platforms and tools
- Maintain and update documentation for legal workflows and processes
- Create and manage user guides for all legal applications and for various audiences
- Document system integrations and technical specifications
- Develop training materials for legal technology platforms
- Document (in both written language and schematics/diagrams) legal technology workflows and procedures
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures
- Document system configurations and settings
- Maintain knowledge base articles for legal tools
- Create quick reference guides and job aids
- Prioritize documentation needs based on team requirements
- Track documentation projects and deliverables
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders
- Secure stakeholder approval on final deliverable(s)
- Report on documentation metrics and completion rates
- Maintain documentation standards and templates
- Ensure consistent formatting and terminology

- 5 years of technical writing experience
- Experience providing managed documentation services
- Strong understanding of legal technology platforms
- Proven experience managing documentation projects
- Advanced skills in documentation tools and platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences located in the United States and Globally is a must
- Ability to work independently while maintaining regular communication
- Experience working with legal professionals is preferred
