Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments of resident complaints and initiate necessary actions, consulting with supervisors when required.
• Efficiently admit and transfer residents between units or external sources, ensuring consistent care delivery.
• Deliver medication, both oral and injectable, in line with established facility protocols and Florida regulations.
• Monitor patients for potential side effects or adverse reactions to medication and promptly report these findings to assigned supervisors or arrange additional evaluation and treatment.
• Promote a smooth transition of care by preparing necessary documentation for consultations within the facility and external appointments.
• Facilitate resident appointment scheduling with unit staff to ensure timely medication administration and convenient resident movement.
• Respond promptly to emergencies requiring medical or psychiatric intervention, acting within designated scope of practice as defined by facility and Florida laws, and notify supervisors for further assistance if needed.
• Accurately document incidents, submitting them in a timely manner according to facility guidelines.
• Maintain detailed records of resident care, updating these files as per facility specifications.
• Empower residents with knowledge about their rights and advocacy issues, strictly adhering to facility policies while demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
