Job Description: Education:
- Associates Degree or Technical School Degree required. State Certifications can be substituted for education requirements
Technical Skills: Meet Senior Technician level requirements in 3 of the 4 technical skills for areas as follows:
- Mechanical
- Electrical
- Hydraulic/Pneumatics
- Welding
Job Duties:
Mechanical:
- Trouble shoot all types of mechanical failures to repair broken machines
- Design and layout new equipment
- Diagnose potential problems and recommend design changes
- Heat shrink bearings and coupling on shafts
- Re-write PM’s to prevent future problems
- Able to substitute spare parts
Electrical
- Design & layout electrical systems
- Read/comprehend ladder logic
- Perform circuit analysis
- Understand and diagnose PLC circuits – Programming a bonus
- Hydraulic/Pneumatic
- Ability to diagnosis complicated failures
- Layout and draw hydraulic/pneumatic drawings
Welding
- Stick welding of thin and thick carbon & stainless steel
- Proficient at TIG welding
- Perform upside down welding
- Braze cast Iron
- Torch cutting steel including bearings from shafts without cutting shaft
- Write out hot wok permits
General:
- Follow work order procedure for repairs and improvements to equipment and facilities
- Lead in installation and start-up of new equipment and facility improvements
- Identify critical machine spare parts and preventative maintenance requirements
- Work with other members of all shifts of maintenance staff for repair, Preventative Maintenance, and improvements to existing equipment
- Communication of project status with Maintenance Engineer
Training Requirements:
- Work order system
- Lock-out/tag-out procedures
- Forklift License & Overhead Crane Operations
Performance Measures:
- Equipment uptime
- On time completion of preventative maintenance and projects
- Appearance of facility
Experience
- 3-5 Years.
