Job Summary
Our company is growing rapidly and is looking to fill the role of low voltage technician. If you do not have all the qualifications, you may still be considered depending on your experience.
Job qualifications
Able to terminate jacks, 110 blocks and 66 blocks for various types of cable included Cat5E, Cat6, Cat6a and multi-pair cable.
Able to sort cabling into bundles at NDF / IDF including toning miss label cable
Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC standards a plus.
ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, and background check.
Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.
Must adhere to Osha safety standards
ability to work full time or over time any hours necessary
your own basic telecom tools including punch downs, strips, wire strippers, cordless drill, PPE (safety gear)
Tech must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear recognize audible signals such as dial tone.
Responsibilities
Cabling installation (run and terminate cables, including Cat5 / 6, power, fiber and analog / digital voice). Testing of cable with Fluke tester.
Provide testing, analysis and repair of video,voice and data systems (ie electronic devices such as gateways, routers, hubs, NIC cards, telephone switches).
Test an Inspect low voltage switchgear and switchboard to applicable standards
Installation, programming and service of access control systems.
Installation of IP devices such as access points, clocks, cameras, AV equipment
Preform preventitative maintenance on Cameras, monitors, or other hardware
