High School Diploma or GED required. Related expediting and/or material handling experience preferred. Valid Driver’s License required. Position Purpose: Under moderate supervision, responsible for a variety of activities within the material control function in support of manufacturing. Maintain accuracy of materials and data entry. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: 1. Interpret route cards and/or material request forms to ensure accurate movement of materials. . 2. Ensure request is handles for replacement material such as scrap, DMT or miscellaneous issues. . 3. Move materials to the correct location through inventory transactions using appropriate systems. . 4. Responsible for tracking of parts requested to support Manufacturing schedules. . 5. Operate material handling equipment and company vehicles as required. . 6. Responsible for assigned equipment. . 7. Work with others as a team on dispatching functions. . 8. Complies with all company safety regulations. . Additional Functions: 1. Ensure housekeeping in work area and comply with all company safety regulations. . 2. Learn and apply Lean concepts within functional responsibilities. Supports a continuous improvement culture including lean principles, sustainability initiatives, ergonomic improvements, safety, and cross functional teams. . Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements: 1. Able to pass math and reading assessment.. 2. Capable of working in an automated system.. 3. Demonstrate experience in materials coordination.. 4. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel..
