What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT6 Engine Technician position at TEL Staffing & HR?
This is an amazing opportunity for a Disassembly and Assembly Mechanic. This will be a 1st shift opening.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use a wide variety of power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly and components.
- Perform Dimensional and Visual inspections following standardized methods and established techniques.
- This process may involve surface plate work or standard measuring techniques to verify the accuracy of parts, tools, gages, or other equipment.
- Work from applicable written inspection procedures and engineering drawings.
- Work with other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and/or visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment.
- Accepting or referring material for rework or quality review based on findings.
- Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments, including automated measuring machines.
- Program instructions are well-defined will be checking dimensions and record results.
- Perform necessary mathematical computations to resolve the extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork.
- Follow Proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verifications of dimensions and make sure that operation sheets are being followed.
- Strong communication skills, self-motivated, and a self-starter.
- This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented.
- Accuracy in work performed is a requirement.
- Physical requirements include being able to lift 50 pounds to a height of 4 feet and position self to perform maintenance.
- May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals’ skills.
Pay: Depends on Experience

Job Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED
- 2 years of formal training in power-plant mechanics and testing
- US. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A&P License
- Experience working from complicated drawings, specifications, procedures, and instructions to fabricate, configure, install, remove/replace and set up a variety of power systems, components, modules, and associated equipment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain certifications to operate powered industrial vehicles.
Salary : $20 - $30
