What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer position at TELACU Construction Management?
TELACU Construction Management is seeking a Project Engineer - Construction to join our team! You will assist in the construction of public works projects working with a Project Manager to plan, schedule, and implementation numerous projects. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public works construction.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
- Allocate resources for assigned projects
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
- Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
- Takes meeting minutes
- Tracks RFI's, Submittals, Change Orders, As-Builts, etc.
- Strong field presence
- Works with the site IOR for QA/QC checks
- Understands plans and specifications
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or similar
- Previous experience in construction management or other related fields
- Familiarity with construction management software
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
