RWB sells to a diverse and unmatched customer base of professional and sportsman racers, engine builders, enthusiasts, niche OEMs, dealers, and wholesale distributors.

POSITION OVERVIEW: Race Winning Brands is seeking a General Manager for the Wiseco Powersports business unit. The General Manager (GM) is the brand steward responsible and accountable for the brand’s performance, reputation and awareness. The GM is a visionary leader who sees possibilities, is always optimistic, inspires, motivates and aligns the organization. The GM drives change, takes ownership, is candid and forthcoming and delivers on commitments. The GM is responsible for formulating, planning, implementing, and executing comprehensive strategies for sales and operations aimed at increasing customer delivery, revenue, market share, and profitability within the Brand Business Unit. The GM emphasizes leadership and a proactive mindset while developing and driving their team to identify and execute the right sales tasks to “WIN” at each stage of the customer journey and ultimately earn the business on the right terms and in the right timeframe profitably. This role champions the strategic direction of the brand and the enterprise operations in alignment with overall RWB company objectives.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (the following in only a summary of the typical functions of the job, not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible responsibilities, tasks, and duties)

  • Partner with the BU President to develop, implement, and execute profitable accelerated sales growth strategies and processes and be accountable for the results.
  • Drive and manage profitable sales revenue growth by developing strong collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Provide sales, customer service and technical support leadership for the brand and build and maintain proactive account management partnerships.
  • Play an active role in the identification and timely resolution of commercial and field operational issues.
  • Own your New Product Roadmap and Collaborate with Product Management to identify, prioritize and expedite new product development and commercialization aligned with the PLM process.
  • Proudly and professionally represent the brand at key events, shows and other customer-facing activities.
  • Partner with Operations team(s) to ensure supply and capacity are managed to meet customer demand, business seasonality and scale through Active Product Management practices.
  • Collaborate and partner with the Plant Manager and various stakeholders within the leadership team to develop and implement a Robust and Rigorous Sales, Inventory and Operations Plan (SIOP).
  • Manage the forecasting and creation of monthly/annual budgets, incorporating comprehensive opportunity and account management processes.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement efficient, cost-effective marketing and trade promotional strategies, including managing digital brand presence and social media platforms, while ensuring adherence to the established marketing, advertising, and trade spending budget.
  • Continuously improve gross margin without sacrificing quality in partnership with product management, operations, engineering and leadership team.
  • Take ownership and be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the organization to achieve the P&L objectives and business goals.
  • Identify, recruit, develop and support a team of energetic, passionate, creative, entrepreneurial and driven professionals who will work collaboratively and respectfully with each other and with members of the Company’s other business units and administrative shared services group to ensure Brands’ performance objectives are achieved.
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth and evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and operation metrics.
  • Identify and capitalize on growth and cost efficiency opportunities, developing robust business cases to support new initiatives.
  • Review and, as appropriate, refresh and expand branded product portfolio to include new branded products, product lines, formulations, packaging, etc.
  • Manage budgets, financial results and cash flows of brands and regularly report to company management on business unit performance.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in operations, leading sales, customer service and product management. Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory position.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Communication Skills: Interacts well, listens and responds, creates and communicates a compelling vision and direction for their Brand with a high degree of humility, integrity, respect and trust.

Other Skills: Good understanding of lean methodologies, relentlessly pursues continuous improvement, eliminates waste and unnecessary work, drives change, sets and achieves ambitious goals.
