Summary of Position
The Marketing and Sales Operations Coordinator plays a dual role in supporting both sales and marketing teams to ensure efficient operations, seamless tradeshow execution, and data integrity. This role combines event coordination, lead coordination, and sales support responsibilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a dynamic B2B environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop valuable skills in sales operations, marketing and tradeshow coordination.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing and Tradeshow Coordination:
- Event Logistics Assistance: Plan and execute trade shows, conferences, and tradeshows, including booth setup, equipment rentals, vendor coordination, and onsite operations.
- Lead Coordination: Process leads generated from events, ensuring accurate data entry into Salesforce, maintaining data integrity, and tracking follow-ups. Collaborate with the sales team to assign leads based on account criteria.
- Marketing Support: Develop and execute promotional plans for events, including social media campaigns, email marketing, and creating onsite promotional materials.
- Post-Event Analysis: Gather and analyze feedback, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for improving future events.
- Budget Tracking: Support organizing event budgets, process invoices, and ensure expenses are documented and within allocated budgets.
Sales Operations:
- Data Integrity: Accurately enter and maintain customer information, sales data, and other relevant records in Salesforce and other CRM systems.
- Sales Support: Assist with preparing sales reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Create sales opportunities in Salesforce, while working with sales reps for accurate information.
- Documentation Compliance: Maintain organized, up-to-date sales-related documentation, contracts, and agreements.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Undertake various administrative tasks to support the efficiency of the sales operations team, including auditing data, and generating bid reports.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with concentration in marketing, event coordination, communications or business administration.
- Experience working with customer relationship management (CRM) software, salesforce.com a plus
- Experience: 0-3 years of experience in event planning, project coordination, marketing, or a related field. Internships or part-time roles in event coordination are a plus.
Skills and Personal Attributes
- Strong organizational with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent data entry, organizational, and analytical skills with high attention to detail: MS Office Suite, CRM Software
- Prioritize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery
- Identify and resolve issues that may arise during event planning and execution, using analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of project management principles and software.
- Familiarity with trade shows, conferences, and event marketing is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn Salesforce
