McLaren Macomb seeks an accomplished, results-oriented healthcare executive to serve as the Chief Operating Officer. Reporting directly to the CEO Mclaren Macomb, the COO has responsibility for driving operational direction and improvement initiatives for McLaren Macomb in collaboration with the CEO and Senior Leadership team. In addition, the COO has primary administrative responsibility for leading, directing and driving continuous operating performance improvement in McLaren Macomb. The COO, through direct reports and in collaboration with other senior leaders, ensures that departments achieve budgeted financial objectives through continual oversight of business operations.
McLaren Macomb is a 288-bed acute care hospital located in Mount Clemens, Mich. Over 400 physicians and nearly 2,000 employees work at McLaren Macomb, making it one of Macomb County’s top employers. McLaren Macomb provides a full range of services, including cancer, surgical services, orthopedics and cardiovascular care. As Macomb County’s first verified trauma center, the hospital operates the busiest emergency department in Macomb County. McLaren Macomb is a leader in osteopathic graduate medical education and serves as a base hospital site for medical students from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and University of Medicine and Health Science. Residency programs include emergency medicine, family medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, OB/GYN, orthopedic surgery, otolaryngology-facial plastic surgery and urologic surgery. Fellowship programs include cardiology, endocrinology and vascular surgery.
