POSITION SUMMARY
Telecare Services is looking for a Part time delegating Nurse, Monday - Friday, and On-Call Weekends. This role will be in-person/remote. The ideal candidate will be proficient in medical record documentation and utilization management processes, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also possess the ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate interventions. Strong problem-solving, decision-making abilities and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills are a must.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and ensure compliance with the standard of health care following guidelines for adult health maintenance. Ensure the health and safety of the people we support.
- Remain abreast of all Board of Nursing and COMAR Regulations as they apply to the position and ensure agency compliance with such standards.
- Ensure all required home/day site visits are done in compliance with healthcare standards set by DDA/MDH.
- Oversee the performance of HRST, Initial Nursing Assessment, Plan of Care, and ongoing assessments. The HRST will be reviewed annually for all individuals with level 3 or greater.
- Review and keep all health and medical policies and procedures current. Update all nursing protocols and communicate proactively to relevant parties.
- Review appointment records, lab, and test results as needed. Offer consultation and guidance to staff as needed.
- Ensure that necessary classes for staff (i.e., Medication Administration Training Program, Medication Recertification Class) are taught in compliance with Board of Nursing Regulations. Ensure the performance of initial medication delegation and maintenance of 6-month re-delegations for medication administration.
- Review all medication errors that occur, analyze each error, and report per DDA regulations. Provide assessment of systemic risk management issues regarding the administration of medications in collaboration with the RN Trainer and Risk Management Committee.
- Complete all agency-required training for the position.
- Oversee the data elements related to diagnosis, allergies, and others as needed in the medical file records.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- RN (Registered Nurse) Board certified, and licensed in Maryland.
- BSN, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred.
- DDA MTTP RN/DN certification for nurses providing support and management to waiver clients, preferred.
- At least two years of previous nursing experience is preferred and certified by the DDA
