Job Summary
We are Teleco of Wilmington, a family owned and operated company since 1983. We have been presented with many opportunities to serve the customers of Wilmington, NC and surrounding areas. Due to our growing customer relationships, we now have an opening for an Tier 1/2 IT Specialist to help support our customer base. This is a great opportunity for someone who is seeking a challenging but rewarding position that will require great people and technical skills.
Responsibilities will include: providing technical onsite and remote support to clients, developing relationships with existing and new clients, designing technical solutions and presenting them to clients, managing client projects and meeting their deadlines, and management and monitoring of client networks.
Job Duties:
- Provide excellent Helpdesk service to our clients
- Manage and coordinate client projects
- Hardware & Software support for computer devices
- Server Management and Configuration
- Installation & Configuration of computer hardware & networking equipment
- Install and troubleshoot VoIP systems
- Develop and maintain IT processes for our customers
- Ability to identify and resolve IT problems quickly
- Ability to work with a team and motivate team members
Job Requirements:
- Experience and knowledge of PC & server Windows operating systems
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
- Experience and knowledge of Virtualization technology
- Some experience with Apple/Mac operating systems
- Experience with VoIP systems a plus, but not necessary
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and server technology
- Knowledge with routers, switches, firewalls and many other network devices
- Must have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs
- Experience in dealing with various software companies
- Administration experience with various email providers/client software
- A and/or Network are desirable but not required
- Experience with Telephony, paging, and faxes desirable
