What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Construction Technician position at Telecom Construction Services Inc?
Description
- Perform manual construction labor both indoors and outdoors
- Operate heavy machinery as needed
- Read and understand construction drawings or other blueprints
- Effectively and efficiently complete assigned tasks
- Hand dig trenches, install conduit, and completes other tasks under supervision
- Follow safety protocols and use PPE (personal protection equipment)
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to use hand tools
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, climb and/or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions
- Must pass a background check, drug test, and motor vehicle check
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- OSHA 10 preferred, but not required
