Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- To oversee and drive all Planning / Scheduling related activities to assure customer expectations are met and business goals attained.
- Responsible for managing the scheduling and release of daily work by value stream to support a demand driven philosophy.
- Coach and Motivate employees and provide Leadership for improved team results and employee involvement.
- Lead the seamless collaboration of tactical purchasing and demand management to resolve differences between supply chain capabilities and the operational plan.
- Develop and implement daily tracking metrics that pinpoint key accountabilities and with support from other disciplines issue resolution.
- Effectively work to transition operations from a traditional schedule push mentality to demand driven production.
- Track and report forecast accuracy and related performance metrics on month and quarterly basis to management.
- Coordinate with other departments as required for implementing systemic schedule improvement.
- Assure the working environment is safe for the employees and enforce Safe work practices with the team.
- Comply with, and enforce, all company policies as they apply to the area of responsibility.
- Maintain excellent communication and working relationship with all departments within the company to ensure transparency of the Planning process.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
