About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Configuration Management Specialist to lead our team in developing innovative approaches for Configuration Management. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience and strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, contractual requirements, and ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a dedicated team in developing configuration management strategies that meet business needs and industry standards.
- Develop and implement effective change control processes to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Manage revision control for engineering and manufacturing documentation, including drawings, bills of materials, and engineering change orders.
- Coordinate the release of product documentation and data to external customer systems.
- Supervise department staff, providing training, day-to-day direction, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with internal and external project managers to ensure compliance with contractual documentation requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in configuration management and document control required.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP, with experience in Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) and Material Master.
- Comprehensive understanding of change controls, bills of materials, and drawing maintenance.
- Experience with MIL/DoD standards, specifically MIL-HDB-61 and EIA-649, as they apply to documents such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Configuration Management, Drawings, etc.
- Excellent organizational, written, and communication skills.
