What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drafting and Design Expert position at Teledyne FLIR?
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed technical drawings, and assembly drawings using SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand design specifications and translate them into accurate drawings.
- Ensure that drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Understand drawing set-up for injection molded plastic parts, cast aluminum and machining drawings as well as ultra precision tolerancing for optical lens housings.
- Using familiarity with configuration of multiple product lines, ensure consistency and accuracy in drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) creating Engineering Change Notices (ECN) as required.
- Follow established configuration management processes to create and track changes and updates to product designs through the ECO process.
- Utilize SolidWorks EPDM for effective data management and version control.
- Utilize SAP for part search, BOM listings, and part change management.
- Create specifications from OEM manufacturers.
