What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Process Improvement Manager position at Teledyne FLIR?
Provide strong hands-on manufacturing and engineering process support for optical fabrication and coating areas as required. Operate and troubleshoot all machines and processes within diamond turning, CNC, and conventional optics areas.
Design tooling and fixturing to support manufacturing as needed. Utilize various metrology equipment to evaluate components and process performance. Investigate production-related failures and provide corrective actions.
Initiate and lead process improvement projects, perform process testing, data analysis, review, root cause analysis, writing procedures and test plans as needed. Focus on scrap reduction, efficiency improvement, cost reduction, implementation of LEAN principles, and other activities.
