EO/IR System Engineering Leadership Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced EO/IR System Engineering Director to lead our team in the development of cutting-edge electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced EO/IR systems that meet the needs of our customers.
The selected candidate will have a strong background in system engineering, with experience in leading or participating in multidisciplinary engineering efforts. You will work closely with our program management team to ensure the successful delivery of our products to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of advanced EO/IR systems, including optical system designs, sensor/imaging system modeling, characterization, and testing.
- Develop and maintain specification and requirements compliance matrices, risk identification and mitigation plans.
- Work closely with program/project management to ensure program execution follows system engineering processes.
- Provide technical direction and path forward to multi-discipline engineering teams.
- Contribute to Intellectual Property development and/or author technical papers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- 12 years direct systems engineering experience, with at least 3 years' experience in technical lead or chief engineer position in medium to large size programs.
- Strong understanding of Gimbal surveillance product development cycle.
- Familiarity with NVIPM or ZEMAX is a plus.
