Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Works in the Shipping area, packing and shipping product as well as unloading and receiving in material.
- Must be able to learn UPS or Fed Ex shipping equipment, including international shipping
- Able to be forklift certified
Education and Experience:
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Ability to apply common sense in performing job
- Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to use basic high school math skills
- 6 months shipping experience or 12 months of general factory work
Physical Demands:
- Good coordination and flexibility in both hands
- Occasionally lifting up to 50 -75 Lbs.
Work Environment:
- Factory environment, some outdoor exposure.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Use of appropriate PPE for occasional chemical handling
- Use of safety glasses
- Use of steel protective shoes or protective shoe covers
Training Requirements:
- ERP and Time clock system Overview
- Teledyne Ethics and Harassment training
- Hazardous Waste Handler
- Hazardous Communications
- Quality Systems
