Job Summary

This position is for a Manufacturing Technician on Gimbal products primarily responsible for the assembly of Gimbal sub-assemblies. Work with manufacturing engineers in the development of assembly processes. Assist document writer in the generation of procedure and review procedures and datasheets for accuracy. Works independently on routine tasks and takes direction from lead technicians on problem resolution. Attention to detail.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Assembly of mechanical and electrical component into advanced assemblies.
• Follow wiring diagrams to ensure consistent interconnections
• Build multiple configurations of product using Bill of materials, Work instruction and test procedures.
• Provide written feedback on issues related to assembly and test of the product along with component and documentation defects.
• Test and troubleshoot assemblies using basic test equipment such as calipers, Digital multi meter, and other test equipment.
• Document results on discrepancy records.
• Work with manufacturing engineers on New Product Introduction and conducting experiments.
  
  

Job Qualifications

• Requires High school graduate preferably a Technical high school.
• 2-4 years’ experience in mechanical manufacturing assembly.
• Basic electrical knowledge using DVM for voltage and resistance measurements.
• Must have computer knowledge.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds routinely.
• Preferred experience
• Familiar with connector/cable assembly - crimping and soldering
• PCB board handling and ESD knowledge
