Job Description
General Overview
The Stockroom Clerk receives, stores, and issues equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compiles stock records in stockroom and warehouse. Responsible for kitting work orders, supporting peripheral departments’ material requests (repairs, customs, engineering and quality), cycle counting, special projects, reconciling inventory variances, ERP transactions and related work. This role also acts as the backup for shipping and receiving as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Kits stockroom parts per production work order bills of material
Controls issuing / receipt of inventory from / into stocking locations by following prescribed processes and handling procedures. Includes material identification, counting, transporting and packaging for end user or storage
Replenishes production floor kanban materials as needed
Conducts cycle counts and completes variance root cause analysis
Provides stockroom service support for Custom production, Repairs and Engineering
Participates in Lean projects and Kaizen events
Manages materials per FIFO methods
Sets up and maintains Kanban bins and cards
Processes finished work orders and receives finished product into finished goods stock
Manages material shortages, per stockroom procedures notifying planners and buyers
Maintains inventory and other stock records
Stores articles in an orderly and accessible manner in bins, on floor, or on shelves in warehouse or other areas, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material
Monitors minimum and maximum stock levels and initiates purchase requisitions or notifies buyers as required
Controls issuing / receipt of inventory from / into stocking locations by following prescribed processes and handling procedures. Includes material identification, counting, transporting and packaging for end user or storage
Assists other stockroom or warehouse workers
Secondary Job Responsibilities
On a limited basis, acts as the backup for the Receiving Clerk and Shipping Clerk :
Inspects and signs for deliveries
Audits receipts for proper part markings, quantities, revisions, PO numbers, delivery date and packaging
Properly documents and communicates deviations found with deliveries
Processes receipts per communicated priorities
Operates forklifts as necessary
Stocks parts on shelves
Executes ERP transactions
Generates customer packing lists and other required shipping documents
Packs customer orders for shipment
Follows all export policies and laws
Works with production in staging finished products for shipment
Works with Production Planners and Sales Administrators on customer shipment schedules and requirements
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not supervise other employees.
Qualifications / Requirements

Education / Experience
High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) and 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
2 years working in a stockroom environment with related experience kitting electronic components and ESD methods
Demonstrated experience using an ERP system for material transactions
Word & Excel skills to create spreadsheets, graphs, etc.
Understands BOMs and Routings related to production work orders
Familiar with backflush / frontflush / kanban processes and point of use inventory
Ability to manage changing priorities and work with minimum supervision in a fast- paced environment.
Knowledge of inventory management procedures and terminology, such as stocking locations, SKU's, inventory variances and cycle counting
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Forklift certification is a plus
Knowledge of 6S methodology
Experience or training in lean methodologies
Salary Range :
37,200.00-$49,600.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education / training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
