Video Editor / Motion Graphics Designer

Telegraph is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor/Motion Graphics Designer to join our creative team. This role requires a skilled professional who can edit video content, design motion graphics, and bring visual storytelling to life. In this role, the candidate will take initiative to continuously evolve and stay ahead of the ever-changing trends. This position requires that you work collaboratively within the video department to generate the highest quality creative for all existing and emerging platforms. The ideal candidate has experience in post-production, animation, and visual effects, with a strong understanding of branding and marketing principles.

This position is located in Birmingham, AL.

Responsibilities:

• Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging video content for digital marketing campaigns, social media, websites, and advertisements.
• Create compelling motion graphics, animations, and visual effects to enhance video and digital storytelling.
• Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and execute visually stunning content that aligns with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
• Optimize video and motion graphics for various digital platforms, ensuring the best quality and performance.
• Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and techniques to continuously elevate our content quality.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy and attention to detail, while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
• Manage internal video library and content management system for highest effective use and best practices for editing and content storage.
  

Requirements:

• 5 years of professional experience
• Experienced with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Necessary: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder
  • Bonus: Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator
• Experience with 3D animation (Cinema 4D, Blender) is a plus.
• Highly creative and imaginative approach to work
• Strong understanding of video production, editing techniques, color grading, typography, and animation principles.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Excellent sense of timing, pacing, and storytelling in video content.
• Knowledge of sound design and audio editing is a bonus.
• Knowledge of AI for video editing enhancements, VFX, audio enhancements and visual asset generation is a bonus.
• Must provide a link to a portfolio/reel of work.
