BASIC JOB SUMMARY:
The primary objective of this role is to support the management and oversee construction projects, ensuring they are constructed in accordance with TEC Specifications. The position involves inspecting existing TEC facilities and reporting on project progress. Effective communication with the Plant Construction & Quality Manager is essential during the process.
This role requires a field inspector who will support the Plant Construction & Quality Manager and communicate with engineering teams and contractors in the field. The position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performing a variety of tasks as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Job Qualifications:
Education/Experience - A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in field construction is necessary, with fiber construction/installation experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Experience in Microsoft Office applications is required. Good organization, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills are essential, along with maintaining and meeting various deadlines. The ability to multitask, detail-oriented problem-solving skills, and a background in resolving issues are also required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Regular travel for Company-related work using a personal vehicle or a company vehicle, requiring a valid personal driver's license and adequate insurance coverage at all times.
- Provide reports to management on project progress, recording unit completion and documenting specified details.
- Monitor contractor construction to verify that it adheres to plans and meets TEC standards.
- Adjust for unpredictable issues as needed before the project reaches its final stages.
- Issue materials to contractors.
- Create and adjust policies and procedures to document and improve efficiencies in the construction and customer turn-up process.
- Set expectations and drive engagement to meet required deadlines.
- Communicate consistently with teams and monitor progress.
- Work towards guidelines set by the project manager to maintain project budgets.
- Minimize uncertainty, avoid unwanted surprises, and involve the project manager in the project.
- Maintain effective communication and keep the project manager and plant operations updated.
- Identify and evaluate potential risks throughout the project.
- Avoid risk or minimize its impact.
- Monitor and analyze team performance, taking corrective measures when needed.
- Present comprehensive reports documenting all project requirements fulfilled, including project history, involvement, and areas for improvement.
- Special projects as requested by the Director of Plant Operations or other departments, which would be of a non-recurring nature.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
