Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems, including security systems, alarm systems, and computer networking solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work and cabling, with the ability to design and implement effective system solutions for our clients.

Duties

  • Install and configure low voltage systems including security alarms, surveillance cameras, and access control systems.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs on existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cabling, electrical connections, and system functionality.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored system design recommendations.
  • Provide field service support by responding to service calls and performing on-site evaluations.
  • Document all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately for record-keeping purposes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology to enhance service offerings.

Skills

  • Proficiency in detecting issues within low voltage systems and implementing effective solutions.
  • Experience in field service operations with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and practices.
  • Expertise in cabling techniques for various low voltage applications.
  • Ability to design comprehensive low voltage systems that meet client specifications.
  • Experience as a service technician with hands-on skills in electrical work.
  • Familiarity with security system installations and alarm system sales is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
