Position Overview :
In this newly created position as the Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for all aspects of human resource management for approximately 55 employees and 100 temporary staff. This includes recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, discipline and coaching, professional development and personnel records. In addition, this position will oversee the hiring of temporary staff members and the management of three temporary agencies. The position will also work closely with our professional employment organization, Insperity, who provides payroll, benefits and HR support services.
Responsibilities :
- Partner with executives to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent needs as it relates to recruiting, retention and succession planning.
- Work closely with the QA / Training Supervisor and Contact Center Managers to create a recruitment plan and calendar based on operational needs and seasonality.
- Serve as the contact with temporary agencies for requesting temporary workers, filling training classes, scheduling coaching sessions and ending assignments.
- Coordinate temporary staff interviews for QA / Training team.
- Conduct interviews for exempt and non-exempt employee positions.
- Generate official internal documents such as offer letters, promotions, pay rate changes and termination letters.
- Conduct onboarding for new hires, which includes new hire paperwork and review of HR policies.
- Oversee the administrative process of onboarding and exiting of employees.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities with input and support from management team.
- Communicate with PEO for recruiting, employee status changes, performance evaluation and benefit questions
- Work with PEO to process leaves, unemployment requests and reference checks.
- Provide support and guidance to supervisors and managers when complex, specialized and sensitive questions and issues arise such as providing accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing and terminations.
- Take appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and address employee grievances.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Recommend best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in HR, talent management and employment law.
- Develop training program for onboarding new supervisors and managers.
- Work with executive management on succession planning.
