Job Description:
- Oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods; manage staff
- Accomplish warehouse operations human resources objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising
- Prepares shipping documents
- Maintains detailed records of all outgoing and incoming shipments
- Arrange for adjustments if merchandise is lost or damaged
- Achieve warehouse operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans, implementing productivity, quality, and customer service standards; resolving problems
- Meets with the Internal Sales Manager to maintain equipment, accessory, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; verifying receipt
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
- Ensure the security of building, stock, and company assets
- Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving products, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping
- Develop warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems, evaluating and recommending new equipment
- Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
- Backup driver if needed
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical, human, and conceptual management skills
- Shipping and Receiving Management workflows and procedures experience
- Familiarization with OSHA rules and regulations
- Forklift experience
- Valid driver's license; has to have a clean license record.
- Knowledge of computerized inventory/location systems
- Experience with UPS order processing
- Experience with weight packaging processes
- Effective computer skills for all software provided
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Has to have excellent vision, peripheral vision, and depth of perception, and cannot be colorblind.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time throughout the day, use your hands
- Must be able to reach items with hands and arms
- Must be able to stoop, slouch, or crawl in order to reach certain items
- Must be comfortable with lifting up to 50lbs
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) from a four-year college or university or eight to ten years of related experience and/or training.
Hours: Full-time (OT for special projects & inclement weather days)
Monday-Friday
8 am-5 pm
Temp to hire
Pay: $25-$30 DOE
Salary : $25 - $30
