Job Overview
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for performing all assembly and test functions according to drawings and procedures developed by Telesis Technologies.
Duties
- Be knowledgeable of and understand all documentation used in the head assembly work cell.
- Assists the Head Assembly Lead Technician and the Production Manager as requested
- Participates in cross training both as a trainee and a trainer in the head assembly work cell and throughout Telesis Technologies, Inc. Must be able to work as a team.
- Follows production drawings, written assembly procedures, sample assemblies and receives verbal instructions regarding job duties to be performed.
- Performs testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and are free from defects.
- Generate Engineering Change Requests and Corrective Action Requests when needed to ensure a quality product.
- Be aware of and report any potential problems to Group Leader, supervisor or manufacturing designee.
- Maintain a clean, safe and functional work area. Work area must be presentable to touring customers at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience in wiring and assembly of electrical and mechanical devices
- Two years manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and understand blue prints.
- Ability to read and follow technical documents
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds safely
- Able to tolerate an occasional noisy environment
- Possess basic computer skills.
- ERP experience a plus
- Work well with minimal supervision
Education
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience
- Assembly Experience: 2 years (Preferred)
