Jr. Business Consultant

TeleSolv Consulting has an immediate opportunity to work with the Federal Government as a Jr. Business Consultant enabling you to have an Active Public Trust status.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Analyze the business environment, structure, and strategy to develop functional requirements for
• projects relating to government business practices, business reengineering, business process
• development, business metrics development, facility and workforce planning, communications

and marketing planning, and management-related issues as designated in the SOW / Call Task.

• Provide project management services in support of:
• Directorate reviews; providing recommendations for enhancements.
• Prepare and submit deliverables
• Project Management support meetings, including capturing meeting minutes and

action items.

• Assist Government Representative with Process Improvement, cycles in support of process owners to establish new and/or improved knowledge assets
• Apply Service Management best practices strategically to identify “as-is” operational gaps, determine and execute mitigation plans, and align operational tactics to meet strategic objectives
• Support workshops and create supporting deliverables (process flow diagrams, RACI diagrams, process guides, etc.) as required
• Assist Government Representative with preparation of the Weekly Activity Report

Minimum Requirements

• U.S. Citizen
• Active Public Trust clearance; or the ability to obtain and maintain one
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field
• Three (3) years’ experience in business development, re-engineering, or management after degree.
• Proficient in the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data
• Can establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and clients
• Prioritize tasks and follow through to completion in a timely manner with minimal supervision
• Able to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to read, analyze and accurately interpret documents such as operating instructions, technical procedures, and regulations

Preferred Requirements

• ITIL 4.0 Certification.
• One (1) year of SharePoint expertise.

Background Investigation:

This position requires that you obtain a background investigation from our client. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
