TeleSolv Consulting has an immediate opportunity to work with the Federal Government as an Accountant enabling you to have a Secret Security Clearance. The Business and Administrative Support Services (BASS) team is a high visibility fast paced group at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport and serves as the point of contact for a wide range of services. The team works directly with departments heads, technical managers, business managers, and government staff. Only candidates comfortable with commuting Mon-Fri working from 7a-3:30p onsite at Keyport, WA need apply. No telework will be allowed.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Administrative management of the NUWC Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) program.
- Works with internal and external departments to assemble the necessary documents/artifacts.
- Conducts research and analysis.
- Participates in corrective action planning, implementation and validation.
Minimum Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a Business degree with an emphasis on accounting (24 semester hours or 36 quarter hours of accounting). Two (2) years of relevant accounting, auditing, or financial management experience minimum73985.52.
- Experience using the following software:
- MS Word: text entry and formatting, familiarity with basic navigation tools, use of formatting to create or modify documents, page layout involving use of Styles and manipulation of templates and other formatting.
- Excel: data entry, familiarity with basic navigation tools, conditional Formatting, Charts & Graph creation, simple formulas, Pivot Tables.
- PowerPoint: creation of simple text-based content, familiarity with basic navigation tools, creation of content using templates & styles, insertion of photos and clip art, creation of content involving photos and clip art, including ability to scale and manipulate graphical content.
- Online collaboration tools: ability to post to and download from online collaboration tools, enter data into lists, blogs, and team discussions, create and modify views of lists and document libraries.
- Able to disclose COVID-19 vaccination status and abide by contract/department’s COVID-19 guidance when accessing any facility.
Preferred Requirements:
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Software application skills to support this role include the following:
- MS Access: data entry, familiarity with basic navigation tools, simple database manipulation, report generation.
- Visio: ability to create process flows, diagrams, and org. charts, format and manipulate Visio diagrams.
Background Investigation:
This position requires that you obtain a Secret Clearance Suitability Determination from our client. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
