Responsibilities :

Installation and Deployment :

Install, configure, and deploy telecommunications equipment, including antennas, cables, switches, routers, and other network components, at customer sites and network facilities.
Ensure proper alignment, grounding, and connectivity of equipment according to specifications and industry standards.

Maintenance and Repair :

Perform routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs on telecommunications equipment and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including network outages, signal interference, and equipment failures, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Testing and Optimization :

Conduct thorough testing and optimization of telecommunications systems and networks to verify functionality, performance, and compliance with technical specifications.

Utilize testing equipment and software tools to measure signal strength, analyze data throughput, and identify potential areas for improvement.

Documentation and Reporting :

Maintain accurate records of installation, maintenance, and repair activities, including equipment configurations, test results, and service tickets.

Generate detailed reports and documentation to track work performed, document findings, and communicate status updates to supervisors and customers.

Customer Service and Support :

Provide excellent customer service and support, addressing inquiries, resolving technical issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction during on-site visits and interactions.

Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to coordinate work activities, schedule appointments, and manage expectations.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in telecommunications or related field preferred.

Proven experience as a field technician or similar role in the telecommunications industry.

Strong technical skills and knowledge of telecommunications equipment, systems, and protocols.

Familiarity with tools and equipment used in telecommunications installation and maintenance, such as power tools, cable testers, and signal meters.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments, including climbing towers and ladders as needed.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
