Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership:
- Direct all field service operations to ensure efficient and high-quality on-site testing, commissioning, and maintenance services.
- Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management across multiple field locations.
- Team Management & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop field service teams, including technicians and supervisors, to ensure peak performance and professional growth.
- Coordinate hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Quality & Safety Compliance:
- Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols and quality standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Oversee the development and continuous improvement of field service procedures and best practices.
- Project & Financial Management:
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and operations teams to plan, execute, and monitor field projects from initial assessment through final commissioning.
- Manage departmental budgets, forecast capital expenditures, and track project profitability.
- Customer & Stakeholder Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for field service-related customer issues, ensuring timely resolution and high satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with senior management and external stakeholders to report on operational performance and strategic initiatives.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Or 10 years in protection and controls.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in field service operations within the power or electrical testing industry.
- At least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing field operations, project management, or service delivery.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong technical background in protective relay testing, equipment commissioning, maintenance testing, and related substation operations.
- Proven track record in managing multi-site field service teams and large-scale projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in budgeting, data analysis, and use of field service management software.
- Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards relevant to electrical testing and commissioning.
- Certifications:
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, or industry-specific certifications) are a plus.
