SUMMARY:
The Vendor/Partner Relations Specialist will manage and strengthen relationships with our subcontractor vendor/partners across the country. This role is essential in ensuring seamless communication, negotiation, and support for our network of fire protection and life safety professionals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and develop relationships with vendor-partner subcontractors nationwide.
- Assist procurement team in recruiting new partners throughout the nation.
- Negotiate rates, terms, and service agreements to optimize efficiency and profitability.
- Act as a key point of contact for vendor partners, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring service excellence.
- Work closely with internal customer team, procurement team and vendors to facilitate smooth service execution.
- Review and analyze pricing, quotes, and service agreements for accuracy and competitiveness.
- Maintain an organized system for tracking vendor performance, service issues, and agreements.
- Proactively engage with vendors via phone and in-person meetings—prioritizing direct conversations over email when needed.
- Handle difficult discussions with professionalism and confidence.
- Travel approximately 40% to meet with vendor/partners, attend industry events, and strengthen relationships.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or training; Customer Service, Fire Protection Knowledge, Vendor Management
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer skills required; Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
