What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local Driver position at Telkin Sheetmetal?
We are a well-established company and are seeking delivery drivers for deliveries primarily in the greater Houston area. There are NO OVERNIGHT TRIPS involved since all deliveries are local. We provide a company vehicle while on the job, which is generally a 16’ or 24’ box truck so a COMMERCIAL DRIVER LICENSE IS NOT NEEDED but highly preferred.
Our company delivers sheetmetal weighing between 10-60 pounds typically and our driver will be responsible for assisting in the loading and unloading process. Applicants must have an excellent driving record, a good working knowledge of the city, speak English fluently, have reliable transportation to and from work, and be willing to submit to a background check and drug testing. Additionally, applicants should have an excellent work history, solid references, be self-motivated, and be able to present themselves professionally.
