What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Director position at Telle Tire and Auto Centers?
The Human Resources Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR practices and processes within the organization. This role involves managing recruitment, employee relations, compliance, benefits and compensation, performance management, and ensuring the overall smooth operation of HR functions. The HR Director will report to the CEO and serve as a key liaison between management and employees, fostering a positive work environment that aligns with the company's values and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Management:
- Directly Manage Talent Acquisition Professional, HR Administrator, Senior Payroll Accountant and Office Administrative Assistant
- Maintain People Development Board and ensure training follow-up
- Support and oversee all details of the process for seamless integration of new personnel from acquired store locations

Employee Relations:
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee queries regarding policies, procedures, and conflict resolution.
- Foster a positive working environment through initiatives aimed at enhancing employee satisfaction and engagement.
- Handle disciplinary procedures, grievances, and workplace investigations.
- Support employee engagement through coordination of events and activities.

Policy & Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Stay updated on legal requirements and trends and communicate necessary changes to management and throughout the company as required.

Training & Performance Management:
- Responsible for collaborating with key management to develop clear functional training plans and to maintain training certifications and applicable record keeping in ADP and personnel files.
- Update performance evaluation program, provide management support and ensure all required actions are taken, including discussion support and documentation support on file.
- Assist District Managers in identifying coaching opportunities based on KPIs and support applicable documentation development and record keeping.
- Identify and implement strategies for performance improvement, employee development and succession planning.
- Responsible for signing off on all exit documentation, including COBRA benefits and oversight/engagement of unemployment claims.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Oversee the administration of compensation, benefits, and payroll.
- Engage with insurance and 401k providers as key decision maker on providers, plans and offerings for insurance
- Responsible for Open Enrollment and on-going enrollments, including all deductions oversight, regional specific communications, etc.
- Provide guidance on benefit programs and provide oversight to ensure timely receipt of employee enrollment and resource identification for associates.
- Oversight of payroll registries, compensation structures, and PTO overrides.
- Accountable for workers' compensation, garnishments, support orders, etc.

HR Data & Reporting:
- Audit employee status updates in ADP Workforce Now and e-files for timeliness and accuracy.
- Complete all HR reporting requirements (i.e., EEO-1, workers compensation, etc.)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, including employee files, attendance, and performance records.
- Establish & provide reports on key HR metrics, such as employee turnover, absenteeism, and satisfaction to executive leadership.

Health & Safety:
- Ensure workplace safety protocols are up to date and establish processes and follow-up cadence to ensure adherence and documentation support.
- Work with insurance provider(s) and management to create a safe work environment.
- Accountable for store safety management, communication, and OSHA reporting in collaboration with Training & Development Compliance Manager.

HR Strategy:
- Collaborate with leadership team to support company vision and strategic objectives.
- Contribute to long-term workforce planning and organizational development initiatives.

General:
- Be a consistent team player and support all facets of the organization throughout on-going company growth.
- Support any ad hoc requests from leadership team or functional department managers.
