The Service Manager runs an efficient and profitable service department through productive staffing, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives and maintenance of all service records. Ensures that the daily technician schedule is sufficient to consistently cover all sold repairs in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining a full schedule.

The Service Manager runs an efficient and profitable service department through productive staffing, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives and maintenance of all service records. Ensures that the daily technician schedule is sufficient to consistently cover all sold repairs in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining a full schedule.
Responsibilities
- Review inspection reports from technicians and manage technician time
- Focused customer interaction and satisfaction
- Maximize efficiency, revenue, and productivity
- Support service department by managing the schedule and ordering parts
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and parts departments
- Reliable and consistent in attendance
- Interact with customers each and everyday in a positive manner regarding the progress/status of their vehicle
Required
- High school or equivalent education
- Three (3) or more years' automotive service advisor/writer experience; supervisory experience preferred
- Possess a valid state driver's license
- Knowledge of:
- Automotive service, maintenance and repairs
- MS Office products
- Mathematics
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong CRM engagement skills
- Communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- Honesty and transparency
- Conflict and problem resolution
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Motivate, train and supervise staff
- Willingness to participate in in-house training programs
- Good driving record
