Position Summary
The Human Services Assistant is responsible for assisting with the daily functions of our medically monitored withdrawal program. They work closely within the multidisciplinary team. The Human Services Assistant will provide direct services to clients and will also assist with administrative duties that support the delivery of care. The Human Services Assistant must conduct themselves in an ethical and professional manner in keeping with program and company philosophies and policies.

Essential Functions
- Assist with client admissions
- Obtain and document vital signs
- Document delivery of care within the electronic health record
- Maintain a safe, secure, clean environment for clients and staff.
- Maintain familiarity with treatment plans and support delivery of these plans
- Maintain all required certifications.
- Intervene in AODA/Mental Health crisis situations.
- Work effectively within the interdisciplinary team
- Assist clinician and case manager in referring clients to appropriate AODA/Mental Health services.
- Assist RN, clinicians and supervisors as needed
- Plan and participate in program groups, recreation, and other activities with the staff, as assigned.
- Perform all other duties deemed appropriate by the supervisor.
- Experience in related field preferred
- Substance Abuse Counselor in Training preferred
- Good written and oral presentation skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office, Word, and Excel programs
