What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer position at Tellus Equipment?
The General Laborer role encompasses responsibilities for maintaining the interior cleanliness of dealership and the exterior grounds including lawn care, landscaping, and debris removal.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and improve grounds, including lawns, gardens, trees, shrubbery, and other outdoor spaces
Perform routine landscaping and general yard maintenance duties such as mowing, edging, pruning, fertilizing, spraying, trimming weeds and picking up trash
Inspect the grounds and facility regularly for potential hazards or signs of damage
Proper disposal of waste
Assist technicians with moving non-functioning equipment from service line to bay
Wash and detail equipment as needed at the wash bay
Janitorial Duties including, but limited to, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors; cleaning and sanitizing restrooms; emptying trash cans and recycling bins; dusting surfaces; washing windows and mirrors; cleaning and disinfecting common areas
Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements
Parts delivery and pick-up and other duties as instructed
KEY QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a degree of independence.
Knowledge of landscaping practices and ability to operate lawn, hand tools, and garden equipment.
Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors. Experience with lawn mowing, trimming, and other grounds keeping equipment.
Basic cleaning skills and knowledge of cleaning chemicals.
Attention to detail and pride in appearance.
Ability to operate a forklift.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Forklift training and experience a plus.
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
